After an overtime loss on Thursday in Game 3 against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Tampa Bay Lightning held an optional practice yesterday, giving a rest to most of their players. David Savard, who missed the last three games, was one of eleven Lightning players who appeared on the ice on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, the Stanley Cup Playoffs action continued on the other side of playoff bracket with two games on Friday night.

Montreal Canadiens 1, Winnipeg Jets 0 — MTL leads 2-0
Montreal took a 2-0 lead in the series after a vintage Carey Price performance in Game 2 against Winnipeg. The Canadiens goaltender stopped all 30 shots on goal on Friday night for his first shutout of the current postseason. Tyler Toffoli scored the only goal of this game, capitalizing on a 2-on-1 breakaway with Artturi Lehkonen while being shorthanded.
Colorado Avalanche 2, Vegas Golden Knights 3 — COL leads 2-1
The second game of the last night were much more exciting. The Golden Knights stormed back after having a 2-1 deficit at the start of the third period and scored twice during 45 seconds in the final six minutes of the game to give the Avalanche their first loss of the playoffs. Max Pacioretty scored a game-winning goal for Vegas.

The Lightning’s assistant coach Jeff Halpern talked about the team’s power play, which scored twice on Thursday.

The Orlando Solar Bears fell 5-1 to the Jacksonville Icemen and have been eliminated from the playoff contention.
