Lightning Round: Syracuse Crunch hire video coach, preseason schedule out

The Tampa Bay Lightning have hired Jacob Wheeler as Syracuse Crunch Video Coach. Wheeler, 26, has moved up from the ECHL where he worked for the Jacksonville Icemen as their video coordinator. Wheeler is also a graduate of Plymouth State University in sports management. Welcome to the team!

The NHL has announced their preseason schedule. As we know already, Tampa Bay and Florida will play a game in Orlando. Of Tampa Bay’s seven games in the preseason, three are against the Panthers, and two each against the Predators and Hurricanes.

2023-24 NHL preseason schedule announced

The National Hockey League announced today the 2023-24 composite preseason schedule, a 15-day, 111-game slate played across 44 NHL and neutral-site venues in North America and Australia from Sept. 23 to Oct. 7.
