During one of the press conferences Nikita Kucherov mentioned that the team isn’t here to break records however they are actually doing it: after recording two points in yesterday’s game Nikita Kucherov has set a new record in assists for primary wingers in the NHL history.
With the primary assist on Gourde’s game-tying power-play goal, Nikita Kucherov has 2 assists tonight and 25 for the playoffs, the most ever by a primary winger in a playoff season in NHL history. He passed Mark Recchi, who put up 24 for Pittsburgh in 1991. #TBLvsDAL #Bolts
