Lightning Round: Tampa Bay is one win away from winning the Cup

The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Dallas Stars in overtime of Game 4 after a Kevin Shattenkirk snipe on power play and took a 3-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Final. The Lightning will have a chance to clinch the Cup tonight at 8:00 PM ET

Hardev was on recap today and has a detailed breakdown of a game, where the Lightning trailed 0-2 in the first period, managed to tie it in the second and took a lead in the third, but were forced to play in overtime after a Joe Pavelski goal. And we all know how it ended [Raw Charge]

This heart-wrenching, stress-suffocating Game 4 was a back and forth affair that once again saw the Lightning win despite surrendering the game-opening goal. The Bolts were down 0-2 in the first period, but back-to-back goals from Brayden Point got the team back on track at the end of the first and into the second, with Yanni Gourde and Alex Killorn providing offense from the middle six to get the Bolts ahead in the third.

In their postgame media availability Brayden Point and Alex Killorn talked about how the Lightning were able to win so many games in overtime. Killorn also reflected on the 2015 Stanley Cup, sharing the difference between two teams.

Jon Cooper highly praised the Palat-Point-Kucherov line and admitted that the team knows that they didn’t win anything yet and need to focus on tonight’s game.

The Ottawa Senators have been placed Bobby Ryan on waivers for the purpose of a buyout. According to Pierre LeBrun, the team management want to open a roster spot for younger players.
