Preview

After losing to the San Jose Sharks, and sacking their head coach, the Oilers come into town on a bit of a roll. They’ve won three straight (one of those was under Jay Woodcroft before he was let go) and have finally remembered that keeping the puck out of the net helps as much as putting it into the net. Lets face it, they were bound to turn it around at some point as their underlying numbers weren’t as bad as their actual numbers.

As always, the key will be to contain Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl and make their complimentary players beat you. That could be a tough task for the Lightning considering they to have had a shaky relationship with allowing goals. It will be even tougher considering their best defensive forward, Anthony Cirelli, will be out due to the injury he suffered in the game in Chicago. He is, as we all are, day-to-day.

With Cirelli out, Coke Koepke, who was recalled earlier today, will make his season debut for the Lightning. Austin Watson will also draw into the line-up.
