Quick Strikes: And the beat goes on.
The sting will fade with time.
The Bolts
Losses hurt. Playoff losses hurt some people more. Game 7 losses hurt others the most. Raw Charge’s associate editor Justin wrote a simple but effective piece on his thoughts about the Tampa Bay Lightning’s loss in the Eastern Conference final:
There will be time to dissect why they lost, what their flaws are and what they need to do to fix those flaws. Now is not that time. I’m writing this at 12:30 in the morning following the Game 7 loss. It’s too soon for rational discourse. There isn’t separation from the event to be objective. What it is time for is a beer (or three), B.B.King playing in the background, and trying to type through the emotions that come with a big loss.
Can one write about a Quick Strikes in a Quick Strikes? I don’t know. Who cares? Certainly not me (apparently). Yesterday’s Quick Strikes had everything a Lightning fan needed for their quest to piece together what happened and what’s next. [Raw Charge]

The Prospects
We had just the thing for a gloomy Thursday: A host of smiling prospects and vets in fun situations in Alex’s roundup of her favorite Syracuse Crunch photos from this past season. [Raw Charge]

The partnership between the Lightning and the Crunch continues to bear some pretty damn amazing fruit:

The Game
Author Ted Starkey writes about the enemy, but he’s also spent a lot of time writing about the AHL and getting a lot of fun stories about the second-highest league in the land. Here’s one of those such stories:
And, an amazing @WaltonCaps story. (who I owe a big thanks for being a part of all three books.) pic.twitter.com/2HCo7FKq0Q
