The Force was with the Crunch as Slater Koekkoek dropped his ammo successfully down the access shaft at the end of the canyon on the Death Sta- oh, the hell with this! • During Lightning training camp, defenseman Kodie Curran impressed those watching his effort to earn a contract with the Lightning. That didn’t happen and he was returned to college in Canada. Now with his college career over at the University of Calgary (where he had 8 goals and 16 assists in 23 games), the righty-shooting defenseman has signed a free agent contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. • The ballad of Anders Lindback is a complicated overture. He’s finding statistical success during the Buffalo Sabres tank end-of-season effort. Yet Lindy isn’t going to let this small sample of success (he’s posting a .930 save percentage and a 2.49 GAA in 8 games with Buffalo) take precedence over the entirety of his season.
