  • Columnist Bruce Arthur reviews what’s transpired in the Bolts series with the Montreal Canadiens (and how things have gone in general since spring 2014 when Les Habs ousted the Lightning in a playoff sweep). [Thestar.com]
  • The story that’s dominated the press since the conclusion of game 2 is Brandon Prust and his post-game remarks pointed at officiating on ice. Former referee Kerry Fraser remarked how Prust has painted himself a target because of it. [The National Post]
  • Elliotte Friedman gives more credit to Prust’s accusations toward ref Brad Watson while also pointing out that complaining as Prust did was better done out of the spotlight and in private remarks. [Sportsnet]
  • The NHL will take no action against Prust for his public dress-down of Watson. [Sportsnet]
  • The other story that’s been lost in the controversial blah-blah-blah is #91 finally lighting the lamp in the playoffs. Steven Stamkos has that weight off his shoulders. [Tampa Bay Times]
  • Part of the way the Bolts have found success in being built since GM Steve Yzerman took over the club in 2010 is by way of scouting locations and players that other clubs avoid. [CBS Sports]
  • War Memorial up in Syracuse continues to be a focal point for the next AHL All Star Game. Crunch owner Howard Dolgon plans to bid on the game. [The Post-Standard]
  • In the biggest story from Monday, the New Jersey Devils will be overseen by a new hand in Ray Shero as he was brought in to take control of the General Manager’s spot. Lou Lomoriello stays on as team president. [In Lou We Trust]
  • While we’ve given Lightning/Habs a good bit of attention, one of the other playoff performances worth noting is Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals series with the New York Rangers. James Mirtle points out that Ovi is playing up to the terms of his contract for the Caps. [The Globe and Mail]
  • On the other side of the fence… well, it’s not on ice news but the New York Rangers aren’t going to enable another team by letting them interview one of the Rangers executives. [NY Post]
