The Bolts
The Tampa Bay Lightning won their game against the Ottawa Senators last night. Nikita Kucherov scored his 31 goal of the season and now has 106 points. [Raw Charge]
This was already the 50th win of the season. The Lightning tied the NHL record for fewest games to 50 wins in a season set by the Detroit Red Wings in 1995-96.

The Prospects
The Syracuse Crunch lost their game to the Rochester Americans [Raw Charge]
There are some losses where a team plays really well and just doesn’t catch a break. This was not one of those losses for the Syracuse Crunch. They were thoroughly outplayed by the Rochester Americans in a 5-3 loss on Friday night in Syracuse. If it wasn’t for Eddie Pasquale’s strong play in the second period, the score could have been much worse.
Alex Barre-Boulet reached the 50 point mark and became the third Syracuse Crunch player to accomplish it this season
The only other #SyrCrunch rookie to hit 50 points since we affiliated with the @TBLightning is Mathieu Joseph, who finished the 2017-18 season with 53.

Mitch Marner made a little surprise for Hayden Foulon for her 7th Birthday, and called her a hero.

The Calgary Flames retired Jarome Iginla’s jersey. Iginla will be forever linked to Tampa because the closest he came to winning a cup was the 2004 Final the Flames lost to the Lightning. Iginla is lock for the hall of fame and will go down as one of the greatest players of his era.

An ugly hit from the NCAA. Jacob Wilson was suspended for the rest of the game> Somehow, Ranta returned to the game. He’s fortunate to have not suffered a worse injury on the play.

Russ Cohen tries to figure out which goalie will be drafted first at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft in his new article [EP Rinkside]
First-round goalies are becoming a rare commodity. Last season there wasn’t one. In 2017, Dallas drafted Jake Oettinger with the 26th overall pick. In 2016 there wasn’t one and in 2015, Washington took Ilya Samsonov with the 22nd overall pick. This year there’s a slight chance both Spencer Knight and Hunter Jones could both go in the first round. Most likely it will be just one? Which one?
