The Bolts

The spotlight is on Kucherov and he appears to basking in its glow. “‘(He is) as good as you will see in this league the way he’s been playing,’ center Brian Boyle said. ‘He just keeps getting better and better. He’s dynamic. When he’s going, we’re rolling.’’” [Tampa Bay Times]

Stamkos is out for four months, but that’s no reason to worry about the Lightning. “Nikita Kucherov is tied for the league lead in scoring, Jonathan Drouin is back and the Lightning have more forward depth than almost any team in the league.” [The Hockey News]

General Manager Steve Yzerman is looking to the existing roster to fill the void left by by the captain. “We’ve been fortunate players have stepped in and given an increased role, regardless of who’s been out, and have done the job for us. We expect and hope that the guys who are in the lineup can handle the added workload.” [Tampa Bay Times]

Cedric Paquette left Thursday’s game after taking a puck to the face while sitting on the bench. He returned to practice yesterday and should be able to play in today’s game.
