Report: Roloson on board for another season

It will take some time still for all the peices of the puzzle that will be the 2011-12 Tampa Bay Lightnin to be pieced together.  But one piece, a key cog, from the 2010-11 campaign has reportedly come to terms with the club.

Dwayne Roloson will be telling kids to get off his lawn for another season, if these reports are indeed true.

Roloson was acquired from the New York Islanders on New Years Day 2011, and was a vital contributor in the Bolts making it within one game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

But Roloson coming back does not settle the goaltending situation going forward for the Lightning. An heir or someone for the team to trust in as a tandem with Rollie is a necessary acquisition still. While the club is trying to sign free-agent-to-be Mike Smith, it may be wiser for them to bring someone else into the fold.

The reported deal on Roloson is for one-year, $3 million.

What should the Lightning due with the #2 goaltender roster spot?

Re-sign Mike Smith 35
Re-sign Cedrick Desjardins and promote him 76
Promote Dustin Tokarski 21
Invest in a free agent 19
Acquire someone through trade 4
