Rumor: Tampa Bay Lightning among teams interested in obtaining Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin
Boston's young forward could be had, and the Lightning's name is being dangled as one team courting a trade.
21-year-old Tyler Seguin is being shopped by Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli this weekend before the NHL draft tomorrow. This isn't just gossip started by rumor-mongers but coming form legit media sources (Namely RDS' Renaud Lavoie.., who broke news to the world that Vinny Lecavalier was being bought out on Thursday morning).
The relevance of this news is... Tampa Bay is in the mix of teams shopping for Seguin:
Bruins are really active right now. Tyler Seguin is one of the players that could be traded. Lightning is one of many teams in the mix.

I can see various reactions to that news - and to the possibilities - coming from Lightning fans. Seguin. Tyler had 32 points in the shortened 2013 season (16 goals, 16 assists), but was largely invisible on the scoresheet for Boston during the 2013 NHL playoffs (1 goal, 7 assists). It's Boston's salary-cap situation that dictates the need to move players, though...
But this comes with a price. Likely a very, very stiff price at that. You can speculate what it'd cost, but I'm going to post a tweet by Benjamin Woodword (a writer at Hockey Independent among other places) and let you muse in comments if that's a fair price worth paying to obtain the former 1st round draft pick:
If Tampa is seriously interested in Seguin, how's about a return package of the No. 3 pick, prospect (Connolly/Namestnikov) & Nate Thompson?

What amounts to two first round picks and a roster player for a first round round pick.
