St. Louis wins Byng and Stamkos picks up some hardware in Vegas

Tonight in Las Vegas, Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis were in attendance for the NHL Awards. As you know, Stamkos already tied Crosby for the Rocket Richard trophy for the most goals during the regular season and was at the event to pose for some pictures and show off his suit.

Martin St. Louis was up for the Lady Byng for the most gentlemanly player against former Lightning Brad Richards and Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk. St. Louis had been nominated the previous four season for the award but had lost to Datsyuk for the past four seasons. Tonight was Marty’s turn.

Some stats from Lightning website:

St. Louis was one of three Lightning players to appear in all 82 games last season. He currently holds the NHL’s fourth-longest active consecutive games played streak, skating in 390 consecutive contests. Last season he ranked fifth in the NHL with 94 points, matching the second-highest total of his career. St. Louis was also fifth in the league with 65 assists and led the NHL in power play assists with 30. He was third in the NHL in average ice time among forwards with 21:48.
