Congratulations to Tampa Bay Lightning team captain Steven Stamkos on the 300th goal of his NHL career. Stamkos’ goal, scored at 11:20 of the 1st period in Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, was his 24th goal of the season and assisted by Alex Killorn (13) and Matthew Carle (1).
In fact, that latter point is a story as well — it’s Carle’s first point of the season. Carle’s lack of offense to coincide defensive lapses this season has been a volatile point of discussion between Lightning fans.
