Sunday Funday: 6 video bombs from 2016

The Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2015-2016 season had a healthy dose of lighter moments. When the team is winning, the overall mood is probably sunnier. So in our second installment of our occasional Sunday Funday series, we dug up some interviews from last season where players video bomb each other.

When players give these interviews, especially postgame and outside the locker room, it’s common for others to walk by to get from Point A to Point B. Most of the time, they just go about their business. Other times… no so much. The video bombs are so amusing because of its spontaneity — you’re not expecting anything other than a straight interview before some player decides to be silly.

Let’s start with this interview with Valtteri Filppula. Starting around the 1:05 mark, Steven Stamkos casually walks on by, before someone else decides to make an appearance. Blink and you’ll miss him.

Vlad Namestnikov strikes again, this time with partner-in-crime Alex Killorn. Around the 0:45 mark, watch both players walk by alone, and then get together. Those grins! The best part is Namestnikov getting up on his tip toes but we still can’t see him fully over Victor Hedman’s shoulder.

Here’s JT Brown, who just wants to give his interview and we’ve got shirtless Anton Stralman, Brian Boyle and a scary Hedman all making their presence known.

Here’s another with Boyle right at the beginning, and sneaky Killorn.

Nikita Kucherov is another sly guy. During Stralman’s interview, he just stops and stares, which is hilarious. There are more appearances in the beginning and Kucherov and Namestnikov are at the end.

And finally, just because you’re the captain doesn’t mean you’re not privy to the silliness. Watch out for — surprise, surprise — Kucherov and Namestnikov.
