Last weekend, the Crunch goalies split two shutouts between them. On Friday, Riku Helenius earned a 3-0 shutout in Glens Falls against the Adirondack Phantoms. And on Saturday, Dustin Tokarski earned a 4-0 shutout in Syracuse versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Helping with the shutouts was Alex Killorn, who has goals in four consecutive games thus far.

However, the starting goalie for tonight will almost certainly be Tokarski. Helenius has left the team to go back to Finland for a family matter. No word as of right now as to when he’s expected to return. Pat Nagle has been called up from the Florida Everblades in his place.

A bit disconcerting is the fact that Cory Conacher hasn’t scored a goal since 8 December. He has 10 goals in 26 games, which isn’t bad at all. But, it could be better. He’s third in goal scoring on the team currently, with Tyler Johnson leading the way with 16 goals in 26 games. Conacher did get into his first professional fight last weekend, which he decidedly won, much to his teammates’ delight.
