The Crunch took the first game of their three games in three nights series. They beat the Hersey Bears 6-1 in an relatively easy win. Pierre-Cedric Labrie had two goals and two fights, but no assists, so he did not manage to get that Gordie Howe hat trick (which is a goal, an assist, and a fight in the same game).
Danick Gauthier scored is first professional goal. Mark Barberio had a goal, an assist, and a game-leading nine shots on goal – and remember, he’s a defenseman. The Crunch, overall, had 40 shots for the game.
Tonight, Syracuse faces the Adirondack Phantoms at home. Adirondack is coming off of a home loss from last night, 5-2, against the Binghamton Senators. Can the Crunch maintain their momentum from winning so handily last night?
