For the first time this season, the Crunch are facing the usual NHL call-up conundrum. For almost the entire first half of this season, they’ve had a stable team, and that’s almost unheard of in the AHL. So, for them, this is going back to normal.
Rumor has it that the Lightning only have two roster spots open at forward, so we should see all but two forwards and Aulie – who was already counted as a regular on the Tampa Bay roster – to be returned to Syracuse by the time they play again next Friday. Unless, of course, some trading happens between now and then – which is always possible.
