Hi! My name is Clark Brooks and you may know me from writing about lots of things here at Raw Charge over the years. I’m not doing home game re-caps because some doctor told me I’m too old and fragile to stay out until 1 AM or later three nights a week unless I want to… what was the fancy medical jargon he used? Oh yeah: DIE.
But I still love the Tampa Bay Lightning, I still love writing about the Lightning and I don’t want to die, so I’m still here and I’ll be pitching in here and there with some feature articles and maybe some interviews instead.
I’m also a marketing genius, having come up with several innovative advertising campaigns that would have produced amazing results, if only someone had replied to any of my unsolicited offers.
Marketing used to be easy. If you had a used car lot and you offered free hot dogs and balloon animals for the kids on a Saturday, a few extra people might show up and buy some cars. If not, oh well, I guess nobody was hungry or in the market for an inflatable pet. Try the same thing again next month and hope for a better turnout. Now, it’s all about data capture and targeting specific demographics with focused messaging.
It’s about time we here at Raw Charge jumped on this and started capturing data from you, our dear and respected readers, for the sake of manipulating you.
The best way I know how to do this is with polls. Polls are like voting, only you’re sharing your opinions and not ruining millions of peoples lives. Let’s find out what YOU think about what the Lightning organization is doing and use that info for probably not nefarious purposes.
Last Saturday, the Lightning held a reunion event at Expo Hall at the state fairgrounds, the team’s original home “arena” as part of celebrating the team’s 25th anniversary. If you attended this event, or even if you didn’t (who cares?), please share your thoughts about it here.
