The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Boston Bruins 2-1.
Yet another milestone was reached this season. This game was Stephane Veilleux‘s 400th career NHL game. So congratulations to him. There seems to be a lot of milestones happening with the players on this team this season.
I’m going to keep this short due to the fact that I’m in pain with some dental problems. Unfortunately, John’s in pain with some serious ulcers. Hence the lack of content over the weekend and this week thus far. It’s just all messed up, but we’ll get it back together here soon.

What the game boiled down to was this: The Lightning played like everyone expected them to at the beginning of the season. This was the team that everyone saw on paper. Sure, they didn’t blow out Boston, but they played with a lead and got the win. They played as a team, and you can’t ask for any more than that.
(Be sure to watch the highlights below. Alex Tanguay‘s goal was pretty, but Vincent Lecavalier‘s pass to him was sick. He’s such a dog for being able to pull that kind of move off in a game situation. And Martin St. Louis scored, too – a power play goal – so good for him.)
The next game is Wednesday, 30 December. The media circus – I mean, the Montreal Canadiens – are in town. Game time is earlier; it’s a 7 pm Eastern start.
