The Bolts
Given the inconsistent play of the Tampa Bay Lightning this season, there was an air of skepticism heading into yesterday’s match up against the surprisingly strong Buffalo Sabres. Well, after yesterday’s game where we saw the Lightning play arguably their most complete game of the season, it looks like they might be back to their old selves.
The Bolts went with a new-look top line of Tyler Johnson, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov to start the game, and this line came through huge for the Lightning early. Linus Ullmark was fantastic for Buffalo, but even he couldn’t stem the tide for the Sabres, who lost their fourth straight game.
Victor Hedman looking quite dapper and representing the team and his home country!
Continuing with Hedman, the towering Swede had quite the experience with the crowd roaring when he was announced during pregame.

Victor Hedman on hearing the crowd sing Swedish anthem: “That was probably one of the most special things I’ve experienced as a hockey player, hearing that before an NHL game. I was really focusing in on that flag + trying to keep the emotions in check.” Didn’t cry but was close

An interesting development happened this week as the NHLPA, Kyle Palmieri, and Scott Wilson are suing the city of Pittsburgh over a 3% jock-tax to non-resident sports stars.
