Tuesdays with Dani: GM meeting topics include the 1-3-1
The GM's will have their first meeting of the season in Toronto today. Dan Rosen of NHL.com writes that the 1-3-1 system will be a hot button topic being discussed at the meetings.
In response to all the questions about Guy Boucher's system, GM Steve Yzerman had some great quotes in Elliotte Friedman's 30 thoughts this week. After saying he prefers a re-alignment system where teams play home-and-home every season, he said "Every fan should get a chance to watch Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos. And with all of you guys talking about the 1-3-1, every fan will be dying to see it."

- Jacques Lemaire defended Boucher's coaching system. Great quote on former NHL coaches criticizing Boucher: ""They have the mike, and some guys with the mike try to coach. They couldn’t coach, so they go behind the mike because they couldn’t find a way to win. So they’re no big deal." (Montreal Gazette)
