The Lightning dropped a player from it’s roster on Friday, sending defenseman Mike Vernace to the Norfolk Admirals. of the AHL.
Vernace was a -2 in seven games played this season and has recorded 63:45 of ice time and took five shots on goal.
The Lightning are now down to seven defensemen, while carrying 13 forwards. Simon Gagne is on injured reserve and currently doesn’t count against the roster total up until he’s activated, which could occur on Saturday.
