As for the game: Radko Gudas is out tonight with an undisclosed leg injury. Heck, it’s not even disclosed he’s injured. It appears college free agent Danny DeKeyser, who was signed by the Detroit Red Wings organization, is in for Grand Rapids. The Griffins have been bolstered lately by talent returned to them from the Red Wings after Detroit was bounced from the NHL playoffs by Chicago.
No telling if Riku Helenius, who returned last Saturday to Syracuse, will be backing up Cedrick Desjardins tonight. Odds are that won’t be the case, as Riku has not seen significant ice time (in practice or any other way) in several weeks.
