“Inside The Lightning: Ben Bishop” set to premiere on Thursday

With his easy going attitude, humor, and good looks, Ben Bishop has found his way into the hearts of many Tampa Bay Lightning since his arrival from Ottawa in 2013. While it did take some time for him to settle in, he has become the first goaltender since Nikolai Khabibulin to provide a consistently good performance in net for the Lightning over multiple years.

In his first full season with the Lightning in 2013-14, Bishop went 37-14-7 over 63 starts with a 2.23 GAA and .924 save percentage to lead the Bolts to the playoffs and earning himself a 3rd place finish in the voting for the Vezina trophy as the best goalie in the NHL. An unfortunate series of injuries near the end of the season forced Bishop to miss the playoffs, but he came back with a vengeance in 2014-15 and led the team to the Stanley Cup playoffs.

This year he’s been putting up an excellent performance and has gotten himself into the talk for the Vezina again this season,

Now, fans will get a look at the behind the scenes of Ben Bishop with the newest Inside the Lightning set to premiere this Thursday after the game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Here’s the full press release from Fox Sports.
