Lightning Round: Austin Watson fined by NHL

Austin Watson is a bit lighter in the wallet today after the NHL fined him $2,022.57 for his actions at the end of the game against the Nashville Predators. As the buzzer sounded, the Lightning forward fired a slapshot from his own bluelien in the general direction of the Nashville net. The specific direction was right at Nashville’s Jeremy Lauzon.

Lauzon was understandably upset and in pain after getting hit with a puck that had no business being shot at that point in the game. Watson was given a 10-minute misconduct for his actions as well.

Ranking all 23 third jerseys in the NHL [Daily Faceoff]

The Lightning aren’t scheduled to wear any this season as far as I know so they aren’t on this list. The Stars and their neon green attire take the top spot.

Could there be a new alternate jersey on the way? If you believe in prophecy by billboard, maybe just maybe.
