Once again, thank you to Walt Ruff for sharing the roster for the Hurricanes. It looks like the group playing the Lightning will be on the younger side. The team is playing a split squad game in Florida as well, so they sent a slightly better lineup to go against those guys.

Once we have the roster for the Lightning, we will share it down below. My guess is since it’s the first home game of the “season” for the Lightning, they’ll run a lot of their better players. Stamkos, Hedman, maybe some others that didn’t play in the most recent game in Nashville. This was the “NHL Group” lines from yesterday’s practice.

Andrei Vasilevskiy won’t be part of the preseason or much of the first two months of the season after he had surgery for his lower back. This is likely the problem that had been ailing him for much of last season. Presumably, all parties hoped it would have gotten better over the summer, but surgery was required at the end of September instead. Get it fixed, get him healed, don’t rush anything.

Yesterday was the three-year anniversary of the Bubble Cup!

Lightning prospect Dylan Duke was named to the leadership team at the University of Michigan! Congratulations to the junior!

Waivers have begun. Here’s the first group.

This is a sad story/update about Flames AGM Chris Snow who has been fighting ALS since December 2019.

Andrei Vasilevskiy is the top goalie on EA Sports’ player rating list. Kucherov is the second RWer, and Hedman is the third defender.
