Lightning Round: Just woke up, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are still Stanley Cup Champions

So, how’s everyone feeling this morning? I personally would like to thank the Tampa Bay Lightning for winning in regulation. Another overtime game may have been too much for fans all across the Tampa Bay area.

It seems like we’ve been waiting for this moment since 2015, when the core of this team watched the Chicago Blackhawks skate around with the Cup. A lot has happened since then. It all seems worth it now that we witnessed so many of those same players get their victory lap with the most hallowed chalice in sports.

In lieu of our normal Lightning Round wrap-up, how about we just watch the players enjoy the greatest sports moment in their lives (so far).

Let’s kick it off with the voice of the Lightning calling his second Stanley Cup victory.

Maybe the greatest moment in Lightning history:

Seriously, there are going to be so many bad back tattoos of this moment, it’s crazy.

He’s come a long, long way. As has Zach Bogosian.

Your Conn Smythe winner. It’s the Big Swede.

Plano-native Blake Coleman breaking hearts deep in the heart of Texas.

Yes, you have to click on it (unless the Erik Cernak pose is enough for you).

If Keven Shattenkirk’s last moment in a Lightning uniform is him running by yelling, “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go” it’s a heck of a way to go out.

Jeff Vinik with one of the happiest phone calls he’s ever made.

Coach Cooper and his staff

“We’re going home 35 lbs heavier”
