In a sign that Erik Cernak is likely to return to the line-up tonight, the Tampa Bay Lightning returned defenseman Philippe Myers to the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday. This follows their previous move of recalling Haydn Fleury from his conditioning loan. Since Myers was on the NHL roster for fewer than 30 days he does not have to go through waivers.

Myers appeared in just one game during his stint with the Lightning, playing 15:32 against the St. Louis Blues in their 5-0 loss on Tuesday. He blocked 2 shots, threw 2 hits, and had 2 shots on goal. For the Crunch, they get one of their top defenders back in time for a weekend home-and-home against the Hartford Wolfpack.

Cernak, who was injured in the Lightning’s 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes over the weekend missed the game against the Blues, but is on the road trip and skating with the Lightning.
