On Wednesday, United States celebrated Veterans Days. Unfortunately, this year sports leagues weren’t able to host special ceremonies before the games in order to pay tribute to everyone who served for United States and the teams and players were limited to share their messaged through social sites.

The Lightning’s seventh round pick from the 2019 NHL Entry Draft Mikhail Shalagin has been traded to Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg from Spartak Moskva in the KHL. So far Shalagin played with Khimik Voskresensk in the VHL, the second major hockey league in Russia, and recorded three goals in eight games. In Yekaterinburg he will join former Detroit Red Wings player Pavel Datsyuk and Alexei Vasilevskiy, the older brother of the Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Chrona will most likely be engaged in a battle with Hugo Alnefelt and Amir Miftakhov over the next few seasons for the title of “ best future Lightning goaltender” (as well as a battle for the most times I have to look up how to spell a goaltender’s name). At this point he’s most likely a little behind the other two, but if he can follow up with another strong season with the Pioneers he might shake up the order a bit.
