Quick Strikes for Monday, May 16

  • When Ben Bishop went down to what looked to be a very bad injury Friday evening, Alex Killorn was the first one to say, “Don’t worry. We got this.” Then, he scored the first goal of the game for the Tampa Bay Lightning on the way to their 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. [Today’s Slapshot]

  • Former Lightning forward Richard Panik is on the verge of signing an extension with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to reports. [Second City Hockey]
  • Jo Paw-velski, a black kitten that roamed the San Jose ice a few weeks ago, has found a new home. [Fear the Fin
