• Things started bubbling Thursday with the fact the Lightning decided to restrict playoff ticket purchases to state residents firstly. Alexis Boucher made a stand for the decision by the club. [Lightning Shout]
• On the other hand, out of state Lightning fans such as our own Cassie McClellan and Kyle Alexander (among others) were dismayed by the move. Others in more prominent online publications ain’t too pleased either. [Puck Daddy]
• On the north end of the Tampacuse spectrum the Syracuse Crunch had a major collapse last night… And still clinched a 2015 AHL playoff spot. [Syracuse.com]
• The continuation of the Detroit Red Wings playoff streak is in question. The playoffs have not yet been clinched at the Boston Bruins as well as the Ottawa Senators are outplaying Detroit at the moment. [Hooked on Hockey Magazine]

• Sam Bennett, the #4 overall draft selection in the 2014 NHL draft, had this season wiped out with surgery… Or did he? He was operated on, recovered, got sent back to juniors (where he had 11 goals and 13 assists in 11 games) and is now going to the show; he’s been recalled by the Calgary Flames. • It won’t be televised, but the 2015 NHL entry draft lottery – the actual process of the lottery, will be available to the public after the results are made public. [The Hockey News]
• The Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey league will be relocating. They played their final game in franchise history in a playoff loss to the Barrie Colts on Thursday. [NHL.com]
• …and the players of the Colts, along with fans in attendance, saluted the departing franchise post-game Thursday night. Relocation sucks, but the hockey family is nowhere near as cold as business. [imgur.com]
