Compared to Friday, yesterday was a slowly day in Tampa. The first buyout period started on Saturday and we can expect some news related to Ryan Callahan.

In other news, Hardev wrote an excellent article about 2019 NHL Draft prospect Connor McMichael in the latest edition of our NHL Draft scouting reports [Raw Charge]

In terms of counting stats, McMichael had a breakout season this year as the London Knights top-line center. He led the London Knights — who won their division but lost to the eventual OHL champion Guelph Storm in the second round — in scoring and finished first in goals, primary assists and shots, and finished seventh in secondary assists behind his two teammates (Liam Foudy and Nathan Dunkley) and the team’s top-four defensemen (Adam Boqvist, Alec Regula, Evan Bouchard, and Matthew Timms). Not bad for a 17-year-old who turned 18 midway through the season and was the sixth-youngest player to play more than a game on the team.

Joe Smith of The Athletic wrote about former Lightning goaile prospect Connor Ingram, who was traded to the Nashville Predators on Friday [The Athletic, paid content]

Ingram will get a fresh start with the Predators, where he’ll likely report to AHL Milwaukee (and potentially face the Lightning in the preseason). Evans said Ingram never formally requested a trade per se, but it was understood that if an opportunity presented itself, it would be beneficial

It still is too early to declare the Lightning the ultimate winner of this trade. In two seasons, however, Sergachev has done almost everything the franchise could have hoped for. By playing more than 150 regular and postseason games, he has experienced the full gambit of the NHL. No, he wasn’t always perfect, but he constantly learned and improved his game.

Our associate editor Alex was invited to Seamore Sports blog to talk about former Syracuse Crunch coach Karl Goehring, who recently became a full-time assistant coach with the UND Fighting Hawks [Seamore Sports]

What is your favorite memory of Karl’s time in Syracuse?

“Although I’ve been following Karl since 2004, his return in 2007 was the catalyst for a lot of memorable moments that season. At the time, I was still relatively new to the heartbreak that the AHL creates, so the joy I felt with the news that he had been signed to a PTO was pretty strong. I knew the sport more at that point than I did in 2004, so I think I was able to better appreciate the talent he had and the work ethic he was bringing.

The ECHL realeased the schedule for the 2019-20 season [Raw Charge]

Orlando will face a total of 13 opponents in the 2019-20 season: Florida (13 games), South Carolina (12), Jacksonville (12), Atlanta (10), Norfolk (8), Greenville (7), Utah (2), Brampton (2), Wheeling (2), Idaho (1), Kansas City (1), Cincinnati (1), and Newfoundland (1).

Out of 72 regular season games, only 10 are against opponents outside of the South Division.
