Three years at $2 million is a solid deal for the Lightning and leaves them room to make more moves this summer.

Sheary is an eight-year veteran that has played with Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Washington. In 531 career games he has logged 120 goals, 132 assists, and 252 points. He is a two-time Stanley Cup winner whose best season was in 2016-17 when he scored 23 goals with 30 assists. Last year in Washington he played all 82 games and posted 15 goals with 22 helpers.
It’s likely that Sheary will step into a middle-six role for the Lightning.
No financial details provided as of yet, but the 31-year-old is coming off of a 2-year deal with the Washington Capitals that had an annual average value of $1.5 million.
We will update as details emerge.
