Tampa Bay Lightning Injury front: Good news, bad news
Down the stretch they come, and with the good news comes the bad. All of this comes by way of Erik Erlendsson's Twitter reports:
Mike Lundin skated this morning with the team, and was not wearing the red, no-contact, jersey. His target for resuming play is Friday, but that doesn't mean a surprising start tomorrow against the Chicago Blackhawks is not possible. Just not probable.
Speaking of probable, Marc-Andre Bergeron is doing much better with his back issues and is expected to play against the 'Hawks.
And now the bad news: Randy Jones is out. He's wearing a walking boot. When asked about the injury, head coach Guy Boucher declared that Jones would be out for a while.
Having Bergeron and Lundin back is certainly a plus, but the loss of another defenseman for any length of time is not exactly encouraging.
